News :How Coronation Street's Fiz lost two stone and gained a sophisticated new image
She was the larger-than-life teen, known for her curves, costumes and curls as much as her loveable character.
But when actress Jennie McAlpine stepped out at the Inside Soap awards this week, her sexy new image was a world away from Corrie's cobbles.
The 25-year-old, who has played the role of Fiz Brown on the soap for the past eight-and-half years, seemed to have come of age as she flaunted a fantastic new look having shed two stone.

In a figure-hugging blue dress with her trademark curls pulled back from her face, Jennie cut a sophisticated figure on the red carpet.
Putting the impressive results down to a simple regime of exercise and health! y eating, she told how she shunned the fad diets of many super! -slim ce lebrities and started walking to work.
She said: 'Ice cream is bad, salad is good - it's not rocket science! If you eat more of the good stuff and take more exercise then you'll lose weight.
I know there's pressure in this business, but I can honestly say I've never felt it myself.
'I'm not saying I let it wash over me because of course I'm aware of it, but I don't let it bother me. I just think there are far more important things going on in the world.'
The healthy at! titude and lifestyle seem to have paid dividends nonetheless, ! and Jenn ie has dropped three dress sizes. And the weight loss comes as she tackles one of the soap's biggest storylines of the year.

Tonight, viewers will learn if Fiz will marry John Stape, her jailed lover who had an affair with, and abducted teenager Rosie Webster.
It has been an emotional rollercoaster for her character who this week realised that younger brother Chesney, played by Sam Aston, is against the wedding taking place.

But the plotline has taken its toll on Jennie as well, who admitted that the experience had been draining.
'It's tiring having to cry continuous! ly and I take a long time to recover from that. My face goes all red and my eyes sting for ages afterwards. I'm not a good cryer!'
Off screen, her relationship with Sam, 16, is thankfully trouble-free. Having both joined the cast as youngsters the pair have shared the experience of growing up on screen.
'We're really good mates, me and Sam,' she said.
'I've never had a little bro! ther, so he's my surrogate. Mind, he's not so little anymore. ! I can't believe how tall he is now!'
And could a real-life wedding be on the cards for Jennie? She has, after all, been with boyfriend Chris for four years.
'I don't like having Happy Birthday sung to me so I don't know about a big fancy wedding, but there are definitely more romantic settings than jail,' she quipped.
